Tulip shaped blooms arrive late in the spring making sure to avoid frost damage and bring a splash of color with them. The flowers are reddish purple on the outside with white coloring on the inside. This shrub grows at a slow rate with height increases of less than 12" per year. It is best used as an accent boarder or specimen plant. Full sun is the ideal condition for this shrub meaning it should get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. The Jane Magnolia grows in acidic loamy rich well drained soil.
